Letter: Proud of innovation, dedication of Tri-City manufacturers
Big kudos to Kristi Pihl, Eleanor Cummins, and everyone else involved in the Herald’s excellent coverage of local manufacturers in the special insert and front-page article on Oct. 29.
I am incredibly proud of the innovation and dedication of our local manufacturers. These tireless entrepreneurs are truly improving the lives of so many people nationally and even worldwide, while providing high-paying jobs and diversifying the Tri-Cities economy.
There is a special place in my heart for SIGN Fracture Care International’s bone-repair mission, Lampson International’s willingness to provide a crane holding a highway sign for Grace Clinic’s annual fundraising concert in Columbia Park, and Carbitex’s innovative material that appears in high-end commercial products.
I am honored to have known Lane Bray, the inventor who made IsoRay Medical’s cancer-treatment product possible. Welcome, Timken/H&N. And to all our community’s manufacturing stars, know that you are appreciated!
