Letter: Watch development closely for ‘neighborhood retail’
TCH Oct. 28: “Hayden Homes seeks to increase commercial space near development.” My crystal ball is very clear that the Richland Planning Commission will recommend approval and the City Council will agree as rapidly as possible.
However, compliments to Richland development staff for actually describing this proposed zoning change as commercial (as compared to the notice for the car wash on Hayden’s sliver of land along the east side of Steptoe).
To homeowners who will be impacted, I strongly recommend watching this very carefully to see what zoning is actually approved and what “neighborhood retail” morphs into.
