Letter: Police state exists in Pasco
What a sham. A coroner's inquest a year — a year! — after Antonio Zambrano-Montes’ killing at the hands of police.
One might ask Franklin County Prosecutor Sant how big a rock must be before it is considered lethal, how far it must be thrown, how accurately and at whom. One might ask Police Chief Metzger whether his rules are remotely reasonable under such circumstances as officers chasing down an unarmed known-to-them unstable man.
It seems clear a police state exists in Pasco, and woe unto them who cross its unclear lines. As the sign in the photo suggests, in Pasco, “police brutality is scaring us to death.”
