Letter: Rocks can indeed kill people

A while back my wife and I traveled to Boise to visit friends. Our journey was delayed going in on State Street due to an accident.

The next morning I retrieved a copy of the Statesman from our host’s mailbox and discovered what had happened. It seems a throwing-size rock had gone through the windshield of a vehicle just minutes ahead of us.

A photograph showed it laying on the passenger seat amid shards of glass. The driver’s last act was to manage to steer away from traffic and drift to a stop. That single rock had struck and killed him.

Thank you to our police for protecting and serving.
