Letter: Thanks for help with genealogy seminar

The Tri-City Genealogical Society would like to thank everyone who helped to make our Sept. 12 seminar presentation, “Traveling Through Time” with William Dollarhide, a big success.

We appreciate all those who attended and thank you for the positive comments you offered. Proceeds from this seminar will go toward acquiring additional books and resources for our library, housed in the Family History Center in Richland.

The Reata Springs Baptist Church provided an excellent venue and much-needed help with the audio/video equipment and the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks.

The success of our silent auction was made possible through donations by the following local people and businesses: Art Kelly, Leslie Kelly, Dee Lynch, Nathan Jones, Atomic Bowl, Natural Serenity Massage, Just Roses, M Shop, Patina’s Antiques, Shari’s Restaurant, Beaver Bark, Greenies, Buckskin Golf, Isla Bonita Restaurant and 3 Margaritas Restaurant.

Thank you all. We couldn’t have done it without you!

John Covey, president
