Letter: Thanks to all for Eckert 100th birthday celebration

I am so grateful to the Tri-City Herald for honoring my husband, Cap Eckert’s 100th birthday Sept. 30 at Sterling’s Restaurant. I also wish to thank Sterlings Restaurant on Queensgate for their wonderful service, food and hospitality.

Our family celebration included those far and near. Our son, Denis Eckert, and wife Lorie from Arizona; granddaughter Melanie Eckert from Seattle; brother Don Eckert from Colorado. Also niece Nancy Eckert of Kennewick; great nephews Robert Eckert and spouse Sandy; and Jeff Eckert and spouse Nicole, all of Kennewick. Last but not least, our devoted caregiver, Trina of Visiting Angels.

A big thank uou in appreciation for all the greeting cards and phone calls.

I am forever grateful for those attending, also the Tri-City Herald and Sterlings for making the celebration come true for the one big milestone.
