Letter: Vote Landsman for Richland City Council

I am writing to gather support for Donnie Landsman for Position 6 of the Richland City Council.

Ever since marijuana has been legalized in Washington, our council has done nothing to represent Richland marijuana businesses, which are properly zoned.

On Oct. 12, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board began accepting applications to open marijuana retail businesses and to bring medical marijuana into the fold. This important opportunity is a great time to reset the ordinances which keep these businesses out of the Richland area and collect much-needed revenue.

When I spoke to the council recently, they simply denied my request for a business and went back to business as usual.

All of the monies spent until now have been wasted as a result. I was surprised to receive a call from Landsman, who had watched the meeting and promised to get these marijuana businesses going in our great city.

This gave me ample opportunity to examine Landsman’s website. I found a man who is needed desperately to save Richland from those who fine us, arrest us, and won’t budge for us — our present council. Reform is desperately needed.

Vote for Donnie Landsman.
