Letter: Vote Boehnke for Kennewick City Council
Matt Boehnke is my choice for Kennewick City Council, At-Large Position 5.
I have known Matt for more than two years, and from what I have observed in the Military Officers Association of American (MOAA), he will provide much-needed leadership and strategic direction for our future.
Matt has the ability to take on tough programs and make them successful. He is a Kamiakin and Eastern Washington University graduate, and was a squadron helicopter commander, a college professor, a nuclear cybersecurity project manager and a small business owner.
He recently retired as an Army lieutenant colonel after serving 21 years. He still serves local area veterans as a lifetime member and past president of American Legion Post 4. All this and he still volunteers his free time for the Kennewick School District JROTC and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
I saw Matt being an energetic, positive and loyal leader for our country and the city in the time I have known him. He has given his time, talents and personal finances to help grow our community into a decent, just and fair city.
Matt has my vote. Let Matt work for you; he is young, motivated, intelligent, honest and pumped.
