Letter: Vote Smart, Engelman, Garza, Stoker for West Richland City Council

Well it’s crunch time in West Richland. It’s time for a change!

The council voted to rezone Flat Top Park to commercial so it could build office buildings. On Austin Drive they voted to make three lots commercial in violation of a 50-year-old covenant against it.

How about $1.5 million to build a raft put-in under the Yakima Bridge? Does anyone remember the ice under the bridge? What do we gain with a put-in site? Maintenance — replacement.

We now have a park usage fee (for people that spent a lot of time and money) and now to waste money on this.

Vote for a change — John Smart, position #1; Don Engelman, #5; Neomi Garza, #6; Ken Stoker, #7. These candidates will vote with knowledge and consideration of the people of West Richland.

Please vote.
