Letter: Vote Johnson, McWhorter for Kennewick Public Hospital District
We support re-election of Vic Johnson to the Trios board and the election of Mike McWhorter to also lead the hospital district.
The most obvious testament to Vic Johnson’s years on the board is the new Southridge campus of the hospital.
The same can be said of Mike McWhorter’s volunteer service on the Trios Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising funds so the community continues to receive outstanding care, and excellent doctors are drawn here.
These two are way above playing at politics. They’ve been right there, battling for Trios, when the work got hard and when doubters or competitors were at their most strident.
When the voters opposed paying taxes for hospital construction, these two — along with a majority of the board and the foundation — found another way. And guess what: at Trios you and your family receive excellent hospital care from an expanded medical team using state-of-the-art equipment. And isn’t that what you want? Thank you, Vic and Mike for your dedicated leadership.
