Letter: Vote Campbell for Kennewick Public Hospital District
The financial condition at Trios is the result of the way the hospital has been managed. One board member states that the new hospital was built with not one penny of taxpayer money. Who is responsible for paying the $120 million cost of the hospital?
A lot of financial numbers and statements are being put out by Trios management, telling everyone that great progress is being made and the financial recovery is under way. Yes, with layoffs, sale of land and water rights assets, use of borrowed money from leftover construction contingency funds and the recently announced gift of $4 million from Medicaid.
Great progress! Really? The seven board members have all been on the board for years now. It is time for a change and a new direction.
Elect Don Campbell for change and a new direction, and save Trios.
