Letter: Vote Johnson, McWhorter for Kennewick Public Hospital District
The Kennewick Public Hospital District stands as a shining example of what can be accomplished when people come together in a common cause. That happened in the early ’50s when we opened the original KGH, it happened in 2014 when a new $100 million modern, state-of-the-art hospital opened at Southridge, and it happened again this summer when the $45 million Care Center opened next door.
None of that just happened. It takes leaders who are dedicated to providing quality and affordable health care and that’s why we are voting to retain Vic Johnson and to elect Mike McWhorter to the hospital’s board of commissioners. They stand head and shoulders above their opponents. Each would bring experience, an understanding of the complex world of health care finances and a common-sense approach to the job.
Please don’t be misled by the negative comments and actions of some of the board members — and others who want to be.
Vote for Vic and Mike.
