So there’s water on Mars. Now how is that going to affect the price of eggs in China? Big deal.
How many billions of dollars were spent gaining that choice bit of knowledge? It might have really affected the price of eggs in China as that is who we borrowed the money from to gain that choice bit of knowledge.
We (the government) spend billions of dollars finding water on Mars, but the blue bridge here needs painting. Do you notice all the rust on it? Makes one wonder how much rust is on the underside, where we can’t see it.
Perhaps we (the taxpayers) should insist on investing that borrowed money on maintaining our roads and bridges here, instead of worrying how much water is on Mars.
