Letter: Vote Johnson, McWhorter for Kennewick Public Hospital District
Two votes on the general-election ballot will make a lasting impact on Tri-City life. Those votes are in the Kennewick Public Hospital District and should go to Vic Johnson and Mike McWhorter.
Johnson is past chair of the board, led a variety of hospital committees, is an incisive seeker of truth, asks thoughtful questions that lead to constructive solutions, can decipher a budget and is a team player.
McWhorter was born in the Kennewick hospital. He has served a decade-plus on the fundraising arm for the hospital, and is sought after for key committees because of his businesslike approach to problem-solving and his lifelong loyalty and dedication to KGH — now Trios.
Their opponents, whose campaigns center on dismal conclusions and a desire to go another direction, cannot match their combined backgrounds of experience.
Trios is going the right direction and on the right track. We have a new hospital and a new medical office building, built without a penny of new taxes. We have more doctors than ever, expanded services, and we take exceptional care of our patients.
Johnson and McWhorter helped make this all happen. Their opponents did not.
