Letter: Vote Johnson, McWhorter for Kennewick Public Hospital Board

Vic Johnson and Mike McWhorter are the most experienced candidates for the open positions on the Kennewick Public Hospital Board.

They have given their time, talents and personal finances to help grow our community hospital into a patient-focused center of excellence known today as Trios Health.

Vic seeks re-election to Position 4, where he has provided leadership and strategic direction for several years. He is a WSU graduate, a nuclear engineer, a farmer, small business owner and works tirelessly on behalf of patients and our communities.

He has the ability to evaluate problems and find solutions.

Mike was born in the original KGH, and it’s a personal attachment that continues today with the births of his grandchildren in the same hospital. He has been in the insurance business 38 years, is former chair of the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce, serves on hospital committees where his business savvy is of great value, and was instrumental in the campaign to build the Tri-City Cancer Center.

He has been an energetic, positive and loyal leader on the hospital’s foundation for 23 years, serving three years as its chair.

These men deserve your votes — and mine.
