Letter: What sort of lesson did the Pasco teacher strike teach students?

There are right ways to do things and wrong ways to do things. Today, far too many things are being done the wrong way.

If Mount McKinley was to be renamed, it should have been done by a formal vote of the people of Alaska — not by a decision by president Obama.

The Pasco School District and teachers had all summer to work out a contract for the current school year. Since that wasn’t accomplished, school should have started on time with the teachers in the classroom. The contract differences should then have been turned over to a panel of arbitrators. What sort of lesson does knowingly, willfully breaking the law teach students?

Speaking of laws, laws are supposed to be created by Legislatures — not the courts.

There are many more items that could be added to this list. Isn’t it time to turn things around?
