Letter: Check into voting records of your elected officials
I’m living in the land of insanity!
Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “The definition of insanity is someone doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.”
I’ve spoken to many people and they are not happy with the way their governments are legislating. Why then are they re-electing the same candidates again and again?
People, you need to check into the voting records of your elected officials. Here are a couple of websites to help you keep track of voting: www.washingtonvotes.org and www.congress.org/congressorg/megavote.
If they are not voting the way you like, at least 60 percent of the time, perhaps it’s time to change. Don’t look at the R or the D, look at the candidate’s principles and values.
