Letter: Water restrictions in Richland needed in light of drought, wildfires

It is time for Richland to create water restrictions in light of a longstanding statewide drought and surrounding fires.

When the Lord challenges us to rise to such an occasion, it saddens me to see that my neighbors and local businesses are using water recklessly and without consideration for the future. Turn your sprinklers so they only get your lawn and not your driveway, water three times per week for 30 minutes instead of every day, and keep your lawn at least three inches tall so it can retain water.

Together we can protect our land from the threat of fire and drought. God Bless.
