Letter: There can be no compromise on curriculum in Pasco school negotiations
I'm sure parents of Pasco students are concerned about the possibility of school not starting on time. So are teachers.
Hundreds of teachers have been in district-mandated training and workshops throughout the summer. Many more are already in their classrooms preparing for their new school year.
This is all happening in good faith while the district is refusing to meet with negotiators and the union bargaining team to settle issues before students return Sept. 1.
Teachers are working hard to open school on time; the district is not.
