Letter: Pellet killed cat
On my way to work, first day of a new job, I received a call from my daughter. She was so upset I could not understand her. When she calmed down enough to tell me what was wrong, she told me her cat was dying and what could I do to help her save him.
I didn’t want to believe this was happening. I told her to drive carefully to the vet clinic at Southridge and see if they could help him, no one was there, it was early. I got a second call from my daughter — she was totally heartbroken Milo was gone.
Do I risk losing a job or turn around and comfort my child as best as I can? That was not a hard decision to make. We took Milo to our vet clinic and they discovered that Milo had been shot with a pellet gun.
I have some words for the monster in our neighborhood who did this terrible heartless thing. “You broke my daughter’s heart, in return I wish for you to suffer. I wish every seed you plant withers on the vine. I hope you never enjoy the love of a pet.”
