You want me to describe Biden’s failures in 200 words? That is an impossible task | Opinion
Space too small for Biden’s failings
The 200 words allowed in a letter to the editor is a tip-of-the-iceberg approach when describing the damage done to our country by President Biden and the Democrats.
Democrats were appalled at what took place Jan. 6, perhaps mostly because it happened to them. Reality and compassion from their party seem to be sadly absent when states and U.S. citizens’ safety, property and “life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness” are threatened at our open southern border. The same threat is now spilling into all our states. Democrats’ invitation to “come on in” is a gross mockery and abuse of our immigration laws.
With thousands of unchecked, illegal immigrants now pouring into Democrat-run cities, once again they are crying foul. Consequences must be paid for irresponsible decisions and mismanagement, but now they’re unwilling to pay the price.
Nothing new here in these words. Just follow the evidence. Democrat governance does not equate to being a democracy. It’s something to consider when we all (should) rush to the polls in the next election, a chance for U.S. citizens’ voices to object and to be heard … just saying.

GOP defines all of us too narrowly
The creators and critics of “woke” are too inclusive by grouping Democrats and other equal opportunity advocates as those comprising the “woke” community. Supporters of same-sex marriages need not be supporters of transition surgery for children, or equal opportunity for those whose aspirations do not meet their physical or mental abilities to achieve them.
Noticeably, the “woke” critics appear to target the LGBQ+ community primarily, and other groups protected by civil rights laws. These protections apply to all, i.e., Democrats and Republicans. Yet, it appears that the Republicans are pushing the anti “woke” agenda when there is agreement between the parties on many social justice issues.
Nonetheless, the political approaches to these social problems are quite different. Many Republicans are advocates of rewriting history, censoring schoolbooks and teachers, and eliminating women’s abortion rights. Many Democrats do not agree with these approaches and thus (are) labeled as “woke” by those who do.
Historically, the country has overcome many great challenges, its independence, slavery, world wars, etc. This current “Woke” divide is destructive and could be fatal. It suggests invasive and unaddressed outside influences. Perhaps it’s social media, AI, and/or political corruption in high places that victimizes and “Awakes” us all.

Stop supporting miscreant Trump
Would you support someone who sexually assaulted women? Would you take him to meet your mother, sister or wife?
Would you support a perpetual liar who blames everyone else for their problems and mistakes?
Would you support someone who admires Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, and counts North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as a friend?
Would you support someone who has bankrupted several businesses to run your company or manage your personal finances or the country?
Would you support someone who wanted to remain in office by force and fraudulent claims? Would you support someone who counts far-right groups as his go-to guys.
Would you support an extremely rich person who solicits his supporters to pay for all of his self-inflicted legal woes?
Would you support someone who takes top-secret documents, hides them and refuses to return them to their lawful place? Instead, he jots memos to staff on these documents.
I believe in ultimate accountability. Please stop supporting Donald Trump. The justice system will have the final say, and mete out punishment befitting his crimes.
