Hagarty his pick for Port of Benton
I’m honored to know and work with Jane Hagarty through her work as a Port of Benton commissioner and through the Prosser Economic Development Association. She is an extraordinary asset for our area. Jane has knowledge as a retired small-town business owner for over 30 years. She provides experience, connectivity and a drive to do what is right for the communities.
Jane has been integral in supporting the communities, especially with the growth of both Richland and Prosser airports, providing significant job positions and local stimulus to help support the local economy.
Jane has shown significant support to local organizations, including Historic Downtown Prosser, Rotary and Boys and Girls Club. She’s provided invaluable experience and insight on how to maintain and grow an exceptional community.
Jane is insightful on trying to maintain the ability of our communities to expand in a safe manner with respect to appropriate taxation as well as supporting local community organizations.
I 100% support Jane for re-election as a Port of Benton commissioner, knowing that she always has the community’s best interests in mind, backed up by experience and knowledge.

CRT not taught in public schools
Audra Byrd, running for Richland School Board Position 1, discusses, in her campaign materials, Critical Race Theory (CRT). She says CRT should not be taught in Richland schools. Well, that’s good, because it’s not being taught in K-12 Washington schools anywhere. Anywhere. CRT is a graduate-level law school course.
What is being taught is looking at history in deeper and richer ways than when we grew up. For example, we were taught re the civil war the viewpoint of the Union and the Confederacy — we (the Union) won and they lost. Today’s teacher might add looking at the war from the viewpoints of a widow, a slave trader, an abolitionist, a slave ship captain or a slave. This is not teaching students to hate white people or encouraging racial prejudice. It is good teaching, which encourages students to think.
I support Danica Garcia for Position 1. Danica focuses on real issues for students rather than wasting our time on CRT. Audra is encouraging voter outrage over an issue that isn’t even there.
Let’s cut to the chase. Vote Danica Garcia for Richland School Board Position 1.

Roberts right for Sunnyside schools
I am writing in support of Linda Roberts for the Sunnyside School Board, Position 2. Linda has been dedicated to improving education of students her entire 35 + year career. She has been a program director, administering budgets and managing staff. She has experience in curriculum development and has facilitated dialogue and built consensus among work groups for 10 years. Linda’s experience as a professional makes her a stand-out candidate.
More than her outstanding experience, Linda cares about the students, staff, parents and community. She believes strongly in parental involvement, transparent dialogue and honest communication. She understands the importance of feeling heard.
Linda Roberts brings a very special skill set which, along with her caring, honesty and integrity, will help the Sunnyside School Board meet the needs of our students, parents, and school staff.

Vote Danica Garcia
I have known Danica Garcia for over 20 years, and she is a childhood and family friend of my wife. Danica is a school board candidate for Richland School District, director No. 1. I have served as a school board member in a local district for eight years, and I believe that Richland voters cannot go wrong in voting for Danica.
Danica has a passion for serving children and families and ensuring that all children get the education and services that are needed to reach their full potential. She has worked in local schools and volunteered in the Richland School District. Since declaring her candidacy, she has worked tirelessly to research and understand what is going well in the Richland School District and what areas could use additional attention and resources. I do not believe that Danica has axes to grind or singular focuses, which are necessary traits to effectively function and make decisions on a school board. Above all, she has shown a desire to listen to student, parent, and staff input. If elected, she will work tirelessly with the rest of the board to implement vision and direction to benefit all students. Please cast your vote for Danica!

Everett best for Prosser council
I’m endorsing Morgan Everett for Prosser City Council Position 2. I have known Morgan over the last 16 years.
Morgan has a passion for Prosser, He has been States Day and Balloon Rally chairman for several years.
Morgan demonstrates true leadership as a councilman by reading and understanding each issue before him. This allows him to make informed decisions in the best interest of the citizens of Prosser. He cares about garbage rates, streets, parks, development, the water department, the sewer department and every other function of the city. He cares about it all, not just a single issue.
He strongly supports our police and fire agencies in Prosser, and it has been a passion of his to get the public safety officials every tool they need to do their job. .
He also served on the Prosser Fire Board for 10 years, and was the first chairman of the West Benton Regional Fire Authority. Morgan worked to put the plan together to allow the city and the county fire district to come together to share resources and funding and have the best possible resources available.
Please vote and support Morgan Everett for Prosser City Council.

Choose wisely when you vote
With elections coming on fast, it is important to remember to consider the right ideas and match them to the right candidates.
Please, Tri-Citians, when you’re poring over your voters pamphlet, look for the candidates who advocate traditional values. Look for candidates who respect law enforcement and do not want to defund police. Reject critical race theory and embrace true history ,which shows a country that has its faults but is making strides to correct them. Read carefully and if the candidate uses the word equity instead equality as a national goal, reject that candidate. If you see buzz words that indicate that the candidate is progressive and would have us “progress” into being a mini-Seattle, reject that candidate.
Read carefully, fellow Tri-Citians, and choose wisely. This may the most important local election in our history..

Hagarty his pick for commissioner
This letter is to endorse Jane Hagarty for Port of Benton commissioner on Nov. 2.
As an elected official currently serving as Port of Benton Commissioner, Jane Hagarty has used her leadership skills and experience to collaborate in partnerships with Benton County and other public agencies to create economic prosperity for the region. She has been a visionary leader through her position at the Port of Benton to support the Energy Council and help to lead the Mid-Columbia Energy Initiatives Nuclear Energy Sub-Committee. Jane has been endorsed by both the Tri-City Republican Club and the Tri-City Realtor’s Association.
I would strongly urge all citizens of Benton County to vote for the most knowledgeable and experienced candidate for this position — Jane Hagarty.
