Letter: Thanks for unity at McCain services

Thank you, Chief of Staff John Kelley and Secretary James Mattis for accompanying Cindy McCain to the Vietnam Memorial on Saturday morning to lay a wreath in honor of Sen, John McCain.

Thank you, Sen. Joe Lieberman, President George W Bush and President Barack Obama for your thoughtful eulogies honoring Sen. John McCain and reminding all Americans that there is more to this great country than partisan politics.

Thank you, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump for setting a good example by requesting to attend and then attending Sen. McCain’s memorial service.

Thank you, President Trump for not tweeting, on Saturday something that would have diverted the attention from John McCain’s special day to you. You showed great restraint!

And finally, thank you, John McCain, for your service to our great nation.
