Letter: Working fire

Like many, I’ve been thinking about the increase in wildfires these past few years.

Then I remembered not long ago, I waited for a tow truck along a freeway. I decided to pick up trash.

I was astonished! The roadside was filled with broken glass and metal.

I know our prison inmates do work crews at animal shelters and colleges.

Why not give them the tools to clean up our roadsides? Why not use good citizen work crews and do the same? Let’s be proactive!
