Letter: Speech not free in society today

So you want freedom of the press but how about freedom of speech? You want to publish what you want without being attacked, but quite often in the TCH I see letters attacking others just because we don’t agree.

Freedom of speech is even more attacked than the press. If you want a job now you cannot have anything negative on your Facebook that might harm someone. Such as the Prosser school employee. For a job they have to give up their freedom of speech. I personally believe that what you do off the job on your time is your business, as long as it does not break the law.

We all need to follow the laws of this country; we shouldn’t have to give up our voice, just to have a job.
