Letter: What happened to respect in U.S.?

Enough! What happened to respect, consideration, and, if you cannot say something nice, do not say anything? Being older than dirt, we watch Lawrence Welk on Saturday night at 6 p.m. His message makes us feel warm and fuzzy, as he was an immigrant. Better than ‘pete and ‘repeat’, over and over and over! Respect, be willing to “listen,” and, be willing to dig in and help, whatever, whoever.

Enough beating around the bush! ...... I am appalled at the lack of respect, wherever, whenever. So, we do not agree; we do not have the same skin color, we are shorter, or taller, or wider, or narrower, or talk different, or walk different, or, lord have mercy (as my grandmother said), believe different. Take a break. We are all god’s children, whichever God we believe in.
