Letter: Time for debate, House candidates

Finally we have a choice as to who will be our next representative in Congress.

On one side, we have a candidate who has a bit of a vested interest in immigration reform having made substantial profits from the work of migrant laborers, who accepts donations from corporations and organizations, and appears to be somewhat elusive when it comes out to meeting and dealing with constituents.

On the other side, a grass-roots candidate who has met tirelessly with constituents, garnered prestigious endorsements, accepted no contributions form corporations, organizations or PACs and has vast knowledge of of our district and its history and issues.

Hence. when is the debate? We constituents deserve to hear their views on Russia, immigration, taxes, climate, and especially health care.

So, League of Women Voters and candidates - “it’s time” to step up.

I eagerly await what I anticipate to be an enlightening discussion.
