Letter: Next to Nazis

I do not read the Herald very often as it always seems one-sided or even biased. The Herald states it does not print letters that defame but that’s what John Williford’s letter on June 24 sure seems to be doing. He puts the President next to Nazis.

The people killed by Nazis did not intentionally put their children out there to be separated from them. They had no choice in the matter, from my understanding.

Those people that are intentionally taking their children to cross a border illegally are risking/using children. It’s possible they are not aware they could be separated. I saw an interview recently and the man states, “Under the wall, over the wall or through the wall, it doesn’t matter I’ll get in.”

Not once did anyone mention entering legally, not even the reporter.

Why can’t they enter legally? I would not take my child into Mexico illegally expecting to be accepted or taken care of. I wouldn’t cross any border illegally with my child unless I was trying to escape/save my child from Nazis. I’ve never understood why they can’t enter legally.

I suppose someone will tell me now.
