Letter: Don’t buy the media’s lies; Trump doing great
The media lie every day, parroting the Democratic Party line (Patty Murray, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi).
Witness the misleading coverage of the tax bill that was so negative that most people thought their taxes would actually increase, yet an estimated 80 percent to 91 percent of workers are seeing tax cuts in their February paychecks.
This comes on top of bonuses, pay raises, increased hiring, economic growth, stock market records, and repatriation of hundreds of billions of dollars parked overseas during the Obama administration. (“Let them eat cake” Pelosi called this “crumbs”.)
Another sin of omission was the news blackout of the largest annual human rights protest by millions in Marches for Life in every state and around the world (e.g., Washington, D.C.; Olympia, Yakima, Spokane, Walla Walla).
Another was the lack of coverage of Trump’s reversal of Obama’s regulatory burden on society.
In eight years, Obama imposed 23,000 regulations, including 693 “major rules” (those costing the private sector at least $100 million per year).
Some 40 percent of all major rules issued by Obama in his final year were finalized after the November 2016 election, according to the Heritage Foundation.
A total of 15 rules have been “disapproved” by Congress under provisions of the Congressional Review Act.
Shame on you.
