Letter: Where is the outrage over texting drivers?

It's beyond time for the state, cities and all law officials to properly address texting while driving. In the last few months, I was T-boned by a texter in an intersection, totaling my car. Then recently I experienced a very near-miss at an intersection, also under a green light.

Where are the mothers who created MADD? Where are the parents who are not cracking down on our screen-addicted youth? Where is the technology to curb this plague? Where is the outrage?

I can tell you this much: When you are hit by a (young) texter, it feels exactly the same, causes the same pain and suffering, as being hit by a drunk driver.
