Letter: Thanks to those who stop to help a stranger

It is difficult, with all the depressing news, to remember the Christmas spirit.

I remembered today to give thanks to two women at the Fred Meyer in Kennewick.

I suffer arthritis and was forced to wait at the meat counter for a rain check I inquired about. Sweating, embarrassed and leaning against the meat counter, I was aided by two women who came up to me and asked of my state, offered to help me, and prayed with me.

Thank you, to the people who stop to help a stranger. Not just during this busy season, but all year long.

Susan Hand, Kennewick
