Letter: Trump succeeding, despite inherited problems
Gordon Johnson said he was “deeply troubled” by Trump, but I missed his letter expressing similar concerns with Obama. Perhaps he missed the direct assault on the First Amendment by Obama using the IRS to target private individuals who had the temerity to form groups Obama deemed to be a threat. This weaponization of the IRS is unprecedented in my lifetime, including Nixon’s threats to audit opponents.
Trump did not spur North Korea to develop nukes; they have been doing this for many years. Do you really think that their purpose was a science experiment? The real concern is a leader like Obama who draws a meaningless “red line.” If they think we won’t respond to an attack, then we have grave problems.
Trump has an excellent grasp of what made America great — just look at the tens of thousands of actual jobs he has created. He talks the language of average Americans, totally unlike the Pelosis of the world. It sounds like Johnson, and the TCH, is only watching MSNBC and CBS.
