Letter: Be thankful for the world’s wonders

Have you noticed what has taken placed around us this year?

Last year we had a late summer, and many trees still had green leaves the first week of December when a severe killing frost struck. This spring many trees appeared to be dead because they remained barren when normally they would blossom and produce leaves. (That was especially true of the apple trees in our back yard). But in late May and early June, they began to sprout and grow.

Then in July the forest fires in the Northwest caused miserable conditions locally with carbon dioxide levels higher than normal. But the growth of the trees and the other plants was phenomenal, which also promoted the restoring of the carbon dioxide levels back to normal.

Is it not amazing that the Creator has designed the environment that He has given us to live in, resiliency to compensate for the many changes that happen in this Earth. Let us thank our Creator for His foresight and wisdom in giving us a beautiful place to live during the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday.
