Letter: Thanks to good Samaritan for returning lost purse
On Oct. 21, my husband and I were at Winco on Clearwater in Kennewick. We had just paid for our groceries and headed out into the pouring rain to quickly throw our groceries in the back of the car and get in. The parking lot was very full with cars and people everywhere. We jumped in the car and headed home.
When we were unloading the car I realized I had left my purse in the cart in the parking lot. I panicked because I had money, credit cards, checks and all my ID in there. We raced back to Winco completely expecting nothing to be there. I went to the customer service counter, and they said that one of their regular customers had turned in a purse. When they brought it to me, I couldn't believe it was mine. I looked inside and everything was still there.
To the woman who turned my purse in, I can't thank you enough. Your honesty is greatly appreciated and admired. I completely expected the daunting job of canceling cards, renewing my drivers license and calling banks. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
