Letter: Turn off White House reality show, and thank a ’Nam vet
In my opinion, the president is running a reality show with our White House representatives in both parties. He and his staff remind me of all the protestors who greeted us ’Nam Vets at the airports when we came home. I feel some were protestors (and are) now running our nation. Some of the rest could be draft dodgers that ran to Canada, then had their families get President Carter to give the cowards amnesty to come back to the USA.
I became a citizen at age 14, for I migrated with my parents from England after WWII. I was drafted and fought for the freedom of our great nation. I was in ’Nam in 1968-69 and made it ten months for I was injured twice. Of all the ’Nam vets I know and meet, none have met a Canadian runner. They should be embarrassed for the freedom we gave you all. I think we still have a great nation in spite of the reality show the White House is running. I’m retired so he can’t fire me.
You are welcome for your freedom from all us Vietnam veterans.
