Letter: Don’t confuse Christians with white supremacists

I read the sweeping declaration made by Mike Wilson of “evangelical zealots” (Sept. 5) accusing them of aligning with Nazis and white supremacists.

Wow! First of all Mike, your knowledge of what constitutes Christianity is woefully under informed. Christians are the ones doing the dying in the Middle East. A lot of folks profess to be Christians who are not. I doubt you will find a genuine evangelical in a crowd of white supremacists because we know God loves everyone and we are commanded to do the same.

There are many who profess to be something they aren’t. You lump decent, caring folks who love this country in with the those who are trying to destroy it by creating bigotry and hatred. You’re opinion that “evangelical zealots” are aligned with these hate movements without clear evidence, demonstrates a touch of bigotry in your own world view.
