Letter: Novakovich the right choice for port commissioner
Re-elect Skip Novakovich, Port of Kennewick Commissioner.
Since Skip is too humble to speak at length of his qualifications and accomplishments, I’m happy to.
He is service driven: former Kennewick Man of the Year, former Tri-Citian of the Year.
He is a community visionary: Bridge to Bridge/River to River Railroad master planning leader, Clover Island revival, Columbia Gardens wine village project, Vista Field re-development.
He is financially prudent: Port of Kenewick is debt free, residents’ equity in the port has increased by nearly 300 percent.
He promotes cultural diversity: partnerships have been created with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and the Latino Heritage Committee.
Few people could be considered more qualified to continue this excellent work, and none are more worthy.
Re-elect Skip to the port. If I could vote for him, I would.
