Letter: Standing up for rights doesn’t make you an ‘ist’

Yes, I voted for Donald Trump. Not my first choice, but we had a Supreme Court vacancy. Our country has become so politically correct that we have lost sight of the big picture.

I believe that killing babies is murder and marriage should be between a man and a woman. I’m not a racist, white supremacist, or any other “ist” you can conjure up. I’ve been told I’m an affable person. I just have my beliefs like any other free citizen.

I hope the left doesn’t desecrate my home with graffiti, but it seems like that is the first thing they find in their toolbox. Do I need a permit for the demonstration? The party of tolerance is the most intolerant. While we’re at it, why don’t we rename Lee, Swift and any other street in our city that could potentially offend someone.

The saddest thing for humanity is that mine might be the minority opinion. Our kids don’t need to learn history. Let’s teach them revisionist history. Our kids will be able to pass down that milk comes from a container.
