Letter: Today’s weather catastrophes are tomorrow’s norms

Mother Nature is showing us what the future holds. Stop, watch, and listen!

The unprecedented flooding from Hurricane Harvey, which is exactly what climate science predicts in a warmer world, provides a window to the future without action to prevent catastrophic global warming.

Closer to home, the terrible fires and depleted irrigation water here in 2015, which again is exactly what climate science predicts for a warmer world, shows us what to expect without effective action to prevent climate change.

Wake up people! Let’s be known in history as the generation that watched and listened to what mother nature and climate science are telling us, and took bold action to prevent a future we wouldn’t wish on anyone, let alone our children and grandchildren.
