Letter: Dust Devils deserve better coverage from Herald
As a host family, booster club member and as a member of the community we have been extremely disappointed around the lack of coverage of the Tri City Dust Devils Baseball from the TCH. The explanation from the TCH is not enough internet traffic or available reporters. Every year before, there have been fabulous write ups about the players, team and online photo galleries.
We have an affiliate of the San Diego Padres. Players here just a few years ago are on the MLB team or close. Living in a great community means having family entertainment, and local coverage by the media should follow suit. The TV news stations find time. Not the Tri-City Herald. Better coverage brings fans to the game and generates interest. Families of the players look for news coverage and generate interest to travel to Pasco from all over the country and Latin America .
A local paper should highlight local interest. Shame on you for your poor effort in coverage. There is outstanding talent here that you will be sorry you missed when you see them in San Diego in a few years. Come see what you are missing! Go Dust Devils!
