Letter: Richland City Council needs new leaders

Reading the comments, I am finding the incumbents are blaming everything else but them. I am running for Position 3 of the Richland City Council, and I am finding Sandra Kent is still blaming Robert’s Rules of Order. By Robert’s, public participation allows the speaker 10 minutes, yet the Council limits it to two or three minutes, which is legal to do.

This city council has been in charge long enough. They still have this belief they own the people of Richland. We need servant-leaders, not dictators. Our duty as voters is to get rid of the incumbents and start with a fresh slate. We need to fix the mess the current city council got us into. Our infrastructure needs repair. Duportail Bridge needs to be delayed to find a different source of funding. Find out why the Rachel Road became a fiasco. When we have a fully disconnected city council, it is time to replace them. Remember me as you mark your ballot, to vote for Lloyd Becker, because I AM your conservative voice.

Lloyd Becker, Richland
