Letter: Kennewick falls down on curbside upkeep

This observation/opinion is directed towards Kennewick City Works.

What’s with the terrible upkeep with some of the city curbside and island areas? Specifically Canal, Columbia Blvd., Edison, as well as many other major roads. The weeds are out of control or not sprayed until they are high and then left to stand. Looks horrible.

For Pete’s sake, Columbia Center is a major destination for residents and nearby towns and cities, and it looks like crap. Let’s water the dead grass, get rid of the weeds, plant some trees and shrubs to visually improve some of the older parts of the city.

City officials, take a drive and look at some of the terrible upkeep of our streets curb appeal. It’s embarrassing. Needs to be addressed.
