Letter: Lattin thinks of the big picture
I have a family member who has been in and out of trouble most of his adult life. He has spent time at Coyote Ridge and the Benton County jail. He was recently released from Coyote Ridge and, from what I understand, already has a warrant again. He is like so many other repeat offenders in our community, and something needs to be done other than just incarcerate them and let them go.
This is why we need to elect Ken Lattin for Benton County sheriff. When elected, Ken Lattin has a goal to put support programs, like mental health court and mental health services, within the Benton County jail system. Also, he plans to put services in place to continue to follow up with those offenders after they have been released. The goal is to make sure they have services lined up for living and ongoing care, so they can better support themselves and stay out of jail.
Lattin is committed to treating people right, including those coming into and going from the county jail. Please strongly consider electing him for Benton County sheriff.
