Letter: Lattin will take sheriff’s office to higher level
I have worked with Ken Lattin for almost 20 years.
Ken Lattin has built an extraordinary career of leadership, integrity, and innovation at the Kennewick Police Department. He is widely respected by his fellow law enforcement officers.
Although each agency has done an exemplary job, with great community support, its my belief that KPD has been the leader in the region when it comes to new approaches to policing. In installing programs like DARE, the Every 15 Minutes Program, Crime Resistant Community Living, therapeutic programs like Drug Court and Mental Health Court, the Community Care Fund, and many other programs, KPD has been leading the way.
KPD is always at the forefront because of leaders like Ken Lattin. He understands the KPD model in leading the way and forming partnerships with other agencies, organizations, and the community in order to solve problems. He’s always looking for input from others, and for creative approaches to solving problems by partnering with existing entities.
Ken Lattin is the best candidate for Benton County sheriff. His 28 years in law enforecment, and developing the KPD model of leading the way, makes him the best person to take the sheriff’s office to a higher level.
