Letter: Proud to vote Lattin for sheriff

How often do you get to be truly excited for who you vote for? I know for me it isn’t often. For me this time around, I will be proud to make my vote for Ken Lattin for sheriff of Benton County.

I have been able to see Officer Lattin in many areas in our community — as a great spokesman for the department briefing the community, to driving by an accident and seeing him grab a broom to clean up the glass, to most importantly seeing him outside of his job being a great citizen in our community. I see Ken at many of the fundraisers I have attended, helping out and lending a hand wherever needed.

Having mutual friends, I have been able to have conversations with Ken and feel he truly is down to earth and truly listens. Never have I felt uncomfortable or judged expressing my opinions to him.

I know Ken will make a difference in our community, I only wish I had more room to write.

Genni Currie, Kennewick
