Letter: Something is rotten in Denmark

To borrow from Shakespeare, “The Donald doth protest too much, methinks.” There was the firing of FBI Director James Comey over Russian matters, the Oval Office’s anger over any Russian connections as reported in the media and deemed “fake news,” the matter of AG Sessions recusing himself from Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign, and the recent threat to the Mueller investigations into the Trump family and its financial history.

Now the president spins his ability to pardon not only his family and behind-the-scenes rogues, but himself as well. Something is rotten in Denmark.

The louder your screams of “innocent” and “witch hunt” with each overturned stone, Mr. President, the more your cries pale, the more credence swings to the special counsel’s probe.
