Letter: House actually getting things done

Amid all the negativity and gridlock surrounding politics these days, one branch of our government is actually getting things done. The House of Representatives has passed more than 250 bills this year that make positive reforms on a wide range of issues. These include environmental regulation and land use, health care, criminal justice and economic growth.

I congratulate our own Congressman Newhouse and the Republican-held House for tackling so many difficult problems. Now we need the Senate to act quickly to move those bills to President Trump’s desk so we can start moving forward again.
