Letters: Who will pay for Rachel Road extension?
The Richland City Council’s unanimous vote to route the Rachel Road extension across Amon Creek Natural Preserve is not a surprise. The south Richland area is being bombarded with new homes all around the natural preserve in addition to a new elementary school.
The Tri-City Herald article went on to say that the project is not funded or engineered and there is no schedule to do so.
Watch out Richland residents — I can see another $20 increase in car license fees in the horizon to pay for this road extension.
