Letter: Vote Finn for Richland council

Kalen Finn is a candidate who is getting off the sidelines and stepping up to provide not only new insight, but a passion to help mold Richland into a city where everyone has a say.

Over these past few weeks, the public and I have had the opportunity to observe the perspectives and agendas of the candidates for City Council. Kalen — being a Richland native, political graduate and showing his technical knowledge in understanding local laws, regulations and current issues — stands above the rest.

I support his decision to remain pragmatic regarding the Duportail Bridge project and the way this $4 million decision was made. He also has ideas and solutions to preserve our natural spaces, support local businesses and further enrich our local economy. I’m confident that Finn, if elected, will not just look at issues from a 30,000-foot perspective, but will also challenge decisions in a linear fashion, making a process for people to easily be involved with their local city rulings and have a say.

Vote Kalen Finn for Richland City Council Position #1 and restore interaction between residents, the council and decisions that affect us all.
