Letter: Lattin is a true steward of our community

I support Ken Lattin for Benton County sheriff. My history with Ken started when I was a young teen in high school. He positively impacted the way that I viewed many situations and opportunities in my life. Even then Ken treated me and those around me with respect and was obviously a very caring and compassionate officer.

He took the time to listen to me regarding my interest, both personal and career-wise. He helped guide me in making informed decisions to better myself and my future. I viewed Ken as a “Big Brother” because I respected his guidance and wisdom — I knew I could always turn to him.

I feel it’s time that we had a sheriff who cares as Ken does for his fellow residents, not to mention the many years of service he has already given to being a peace officer. He has earned two degrees and is currently working on his doctorate. He very obviously has the experience necessary to do the job.

I know that Ken Lattin will make good choices that influence the community in a positive way. Ken Lattin is a true steward of our community.
